Mt. Eliza Candle Works is a small business based on the Mornington Peninsula, dedicated to providing quality candles and home fragrance at affordable prices. We also are the creators behind Old Vine Candles - Repurposing old wine bottles into beautiful candles.
It takes an estimated 1 million years for a glass bottle to decompose in the environment! While recycling is great, unfortunately not all the glass in your recycling bin will actually be recycled leaving us with the shocking fact that there are hundreds of thousands of tonnes of glass sitting in stockpiles or being sent to landfill! Repurposing glass is far less energy intensive than putting it through the recycling process, so this is what Old Vine Candles does! They collect old wine bottles, which are then hand cut and the edges carefully sanded, before being cleaned and transformed into a beautiful fragranced candle for you. Their soy wax candles are all handmade using the highest quality ingredients available, they are unique, and unlike any other you have had before.
So what does wine smell like in a candle? Old Vine Candles have matched the aromatic descriptors of the wine varieties to the scents they use in the candles. When you pick up your favourite bottle have a look at it’s back label, read the descriptions, this is where the inspiration comes from.
The Botanical Collection, which is also made in reclaimed wine bottles, takes it’s inspiration from our beautiful country and is available in Eucalyptus, Golden Wattle, Kakadu Plum and Lemon Myrtle.

Wandin Blacksmith
The Wandin Blacksmithing Group is comprised of a group of enthusiasts who meet every Sunday at the reconstructed Blacksmith shop located in the grounds of the beautiful Mont De Lancey Historic Homestead and Museum. The Homestead is right in the heart of Victoria’s scenic Yarra Valley.
The fully equipped workshop provides an excellent place to come along to see blacksmithing in action. There are plenty of members willing to talk to anyone interceded in the ancient craft. Introductory classes to blacksmithing are run several times a year. For information regarding classes please go to our website.
During the show the smiths will be making various objects such as leaves, knives, tools and fireside sets.
We will be selling metal artwork, fireside sets, dinner bells, cow bells, hand forges jewellery, Damascus knives, Viking axes and many other interesting hand forged treasures.

We are focused on being eco-friendly and sustainable, using natural or recycled materials where we can - this is at the heart of every decision we make. We avoid using any unnecessary packaging materials and try to source all of our ingredients locally to support small local businesses wherever possible.
At the end of their candle life, Leaf Candle Co. tins can be refilled, repurposed or upcycled into something new or recycled in your curb-side recycling program.
